Der Wahl-O-Mat ist ein interaktives Angebot, das insbesondere Erst- und Jungwähler spielerisch für Wahlen und Politik interessieren soll. Der Wahl-O-Mat konfrontiert die Nutzer mit 38 Thesen aus unterschiedlichen Politikfeldern, die im jeweiligen Wahlkampf eine Rolle spielen – etwa:
“In allen Gaststätten soll ein ausnahmsloses Rauchverbot gelten.” Die Nutzer können sich zu diesen Aussagen zustimmend, neutral oder ablehnend positionieren oder die These überspringen. Im Anschluss berechnet der Wahl-O-Mat, welche Parteien und Wählervereinigungen dem Nutzer mit Blick auf die Thesen am nächsten stehen und wie weit andere Parteien von den eigenen Positionen entfernt liegen.

Push-Benachrichtigungen
Mit einer Push-Benachrichtigung informiert die App über wichtige Ereignisse zur Wahl. So werden die Nutzer z.B. an den Termin der Wahl erinnert und erhalten letzte Infos zur Wahl. Die Push-Benachrichtigungen können deaktiviert werden.

The Wahl-O-Mat is an interactive service designed to playfully engage young and old voters in elections and politics. The Wahl-O-Mat confronts the users with 38 theses from different policy fields, which play a role in the respective election campaign – for example:
“In all restaurants, a non-smoking ban should apply.” The users can agree to these statements, neutral or negative position or skip the thesis. Subsequently, Wahl-O-Mat calculates which parties and voter associations are closest to the user in terms of the theses and how far other parties are from their own positions.

Push notifications
With a push notification, the app informs about important events to choose from. So the users are e.g. Reminds to the date of the election and receive the latest information on the election. The push notifications can be disabled.
